Manchester-Evelyn E. Chicoine, 92, died December 2, 2009 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on November 28, 1917 the daughter of Arthur and Marie Anne (Brochu) Chicoine and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed by Dorsen-Fleisher Shoe Co..
She had volunteered at the SMILE Center, Elliot Hospital and enjoyed making afghan’s for family and friends.
Members of her family include several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, 235 Myrtle St.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday in 11:15 AM in Mt. Carmel Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
