TEWKSBURY - Lorraine M. (Giannone)(Johnson) Cuskey, age 76, a retired Tewksbury Water Department employee, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, December 3, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of William P. Cuskey Jr. with whom she had celebrated a 30th wedding anniversary this past May 25th.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 25, 1933, the daughter of the late Carl E. and Hazel M. (Borges) Giannone and raised in Medford, Mass. She graduated from Medford High School with the Class of 1951.
She raised her family in Tewksbury and was employed by the Town of Tewksbury's Water Department in 1978. She retired from the Water Division of the D.P.W. in 2002 as Senior Account Clerk.
She will be remembered for her cheery attitude, bright smile, and genuinely warm manor she displayed with everyone she met.
Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by twin daughters and their husbands, Suzanne and Robert Olson of Newport News, VA, and Sandra and Dennis Martino of Townsend; seven grandchildren, Heather, Alisha, and Lindsay Olson, Dennis, and William Martino, Kyrie Martin, and Abbey Devens; seven great grandchildren, Owen, Mallory, Jayden, Janie, David, Katya, and Natalya; her sister and brother-in-law, Carol A and Paul Capone of Billerica; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her late husband, Charles L. Johnson, who died in 1966.
Her funeral was held Monday, Dec. 7, in St. William's Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed at Tewksbury Cemetery. Memorials to the Seven Hills Pediatric Center, 22 Hillside Ave., Groton, MA 01450, will be appreciated.
