Sullivan, William R., age 53, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and closest friend, Ron Stiriti. Bill lost his courageous battle with lung cancer on December 2, 2009. Beloved son of Alice (Russell) Sullivan and the late Peter F. Sullivan. He leaves his sister Maureen (Sullivan) Baldino and husband Bill of Auburn, brother Peter Sullivan and wife Mary of Worcester, sister Kathy (Sullivan) Bylund of Auburn and Rosemary (Sullivan) Sears and husband Tom of Northborough. He was a devoted uncle of eight nieces and nephews and one great niece. Bill loved his family and cherished his friends. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
Bill was a graduate of Worcester State College and received his post graduate degree at The University of Massachusetts Boston. He was a teacher at Medford High School and Chelsea High School. He also taught at Perkins School for the Blind. Bill was a world traveler and enjoyed summers on Cape Cod.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 12, 2009 at noon at the Eliot Church 474 Centre Street Newton, MA 02458. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
