Annita M. (Fondi) Sansivero, of Medford, died Monday at her home after a long illness. She was 68.
Mrs. Sansivero was born and raised in Italy, the daughter of the late Alfredo and the late Teresa (D´Alleva) Fondi.
As a young woman Annita came to the United states, and worked as a dress maker in with some Boston area firms and later in Bayside, Queens, New York with a specialty in elaborate alterations.Annita was dedicated to her family, enjoyed gardening and walks in the park. She was an outstanding cook and had a special love for opera music.
She was the beloved wife of Rocco Sansivero and devoted mother of Eduardo Fondi of Italy, Mary N. Sansivero and Frank R. Sansivero both of Medford. She leaves 2 loving grandchildren.She was the sister of Pasquale, Valentina, Egidio, Bruno, Rosanna, and Tilda Fondi all of Italy.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, Friday at 9 AM.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
