Obituary

Roland A. "JR" Gendron, Jr. age 43, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009 from complications due to cardiac failure at Beth Israel - Deaconess Medical Center in Boston surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Lowell on April 27, 1966, the beloved son of Roland and Therese (Morneau) Gendron of Lowell. JR was a lifelong resident of Lowell and the beloved husband of Patricia A. (McGrath) Gendron. They met at Market Basket 22 years ago where they were both employed. He later became a plumber and was currently working for Young Blood Plumbing Company of Haverhill who described JR as the perfect gentleman.

Patty and JR were married on Sept. 21, 1996 and had just celebrated 13 years of marriage. They went on to have two beautiful children, Mikayla and Travis who were the light of his life. He enjoyed going to his sons's football and baseball games and also father/daughter dances with his daughter. JR also loved camping with his family and his wonderful godson, Xavier and beautiful niece, Mariah. He also enjoyed taking his mother grocery shopping every week and was also a big fan of the NE Patriots.

Even though, we can no longer hold you in our arms, JR, you will always be in our hearts forever.

Besides his beloved wife, beautiful children and loving parents, he is survived by his brothers and sisters, Norman Gendron of Malden, Sue Maine and her husband Bill of N. Carolina, Paul Gendron and his companion Cheryl of Nashua, Paula Powell of Lowell, and Brian Gendron and his companion Samantha of Lowell; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter A. and Dorothy McGrath of Tewksbury, a sister-in-law, Susan Salaman and her husband Mike of Lowell, a brother-in-law, Walter K. McGrath of Tewksbury; godfather of Xavier Salaman and Jayden Gendron; also many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Thursday Dec. 3 from 4 to 8pm. His Funeral will take place on Friday morning from the Funeral Home at 8:45 followed by his Funeral Mass at Holy Family Parish (Ste. Marie Church), S. Lowell at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
