Whitman - Matthew J. Gatturna 22, life long resident of Whitman died unexpectedly Monday November 30. He was the beloved son of John D. Gatturna of Whitman and Sharon Waterman of West Bridgewater.
Born in Boston and raised in Whitman he was a graduate of South Shore Vocational Technical High School.
Matt enjoyed his computer and was a talented snowboarder.
In addition to his loving parents John and Sharon he is survived by and loved by his grandfather John H. Gatturna of Whitman, his grandmother Janet Reed and her husband Norman of Halifax, his step-brothers Steven Botelho of Middleboro and Joel Botelho of N. Carolina as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Michael D. Gatturna, and grandson of the late Lester Waterman and Elizabeth Gatturna.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours to be held Thursday December 3 from 4-8 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Private services will be held at a later date. Donations in Matthew’s name may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.
