Gertrude F. Gordon, 80, of Salem, NH died Tuesday September 9, 2003 at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH following a prolonged illness. She was born in Reading, MA on June 1, 1923, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Day) Lorgeree. She was raised and educated in Reading, MA. She had resided in Salem, NH for the past 20 years, formerly living in Wilmington, MA. She was a CNA for Winchester Hospital in Winchester, MA and Salem Haven Nursing Home in Salem , NH for many years. She most recently has enjoyed her retirement years with her friends and family, spending her summer months in her cottage at Lake Winnipesaukee. Her thoughtfulness and love will be remembered by many.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Joan) Scapicchio of Londonderry, NH, Mrs. James (Judee) Cavanaugh of Derry, NH, four sons, William Gordon of Santa Rosa, CA, Thomas (wife Diana) Gordon of Braddock, NJ, Scott (wife Denise) Gordon of Northwood, NH, David (wife Leslie) Gordon of Raymond, NH, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters, Florence Carter, Mildred Melendy, both of Reading, MA, Rita Cole of Salem, NH.
Funeral services will be held Thursday September 11th at 6:00pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 - 6 pm.
