In Taunton, November 30, 2009 Gertrude L. (Frazier) Gotham wife of the late Edward S. Gotham died at Taunton Nursing Home in Taunton at the age of 89. Born in Taunton, Gertrude was the daughter of the late Louis and M. Gertrude (Stevens) Frazier. She was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1938 and was also on the class reunion committee. Gertrude was a retired supervisor for Morton Hospital in environmental service for many years and was the former cook at St. Joseph’s Rectory. She was a former member of the St. Joseph’s Woman’s Guild, Morton Hospital Retirees and St. Joseph Senior Choir. Gertrude loved spending time with her family and was the world’s best cook. She was the mother of Stephen Gotham and his wife Annemarie of Taunton, Ann Thomas of Taunton and her late husband Bob and Jane Thomas and her husband Everett of Taunton. Grandmother of Michael Thomas of N.Y., Stephen Gotham of Fairhaven, Kim Johnson of Taunton and Lynn Davane of Taunton. Great Grandmother of six grandsons and three granddaughters. Sister of Joan R. Frazier of Taunton, Irene M. Kelly of CA. and the late Francis and Patricia Frazier. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Thursday Dec. 3rd at 10am. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church (St. Joseph Church) in Taunton at 11am. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wed. from 4-8pm. Interment St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
