New Bedford, Rita Marie (Morin) De Mello aged 68, died on November 29, 2009 at home surrounded by her family, after a long illness. Rita was the wife of Kenneth P. De Mello of New Bedford. Mrs. De Mello was the mother of Diane Domingos, Kenneth De Mello and David De Mello all of New Bedford and the late Leonard De Mello. She was the sister of Lorraine Carreau, Pauline Lafferty, Lucille Fontes and the late Robert Morin and Jacqueline Sylvia. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren David De Mello Jr., Kathy Domingos, Scott Domingos Jr., Crystal De Mello, Samantha De Mello and 4 Great Grandchildren Landon De Mello, Madysin De Mello, Makenzi and Gianna De Mello, and by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. De Mello was a daughter of the late Cora (Nadeu) and Alcide Joseph Morin. Born in New Bedford and was a long term resident of this area.
In accordance with her wishes she was cremated.
