Mrs. Blanche M. (Dery) Courcy, of Taunton and Raynham, died Saturday, November 28 in the Royal Nursing Facility, Falmouth, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Alphonse J. “Red” Courcy. She was born 95 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Stanislaus and Virginia (Breard) Dery. She was educated in Taunton, having graduated with the class of 1932 from Taunton High School, and had been a city resident for most of her life. She was a member of the Sodalite des Dames de Ste. Anne and the Girl Scouts of America. Mrs. Courcy enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Church in Taunton.

Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Wednesday, December 2 at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Visiting Hour will be held prior to the funeral Wednesday, from 9:00 A.M. to 10 A.M.
