Harlem, GA---Mr. Robert T. “Bobby” Brown, 60, husband of Donna Alfonso Brown, entered into rest on Friday, November 27, 2009, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, tomorrow Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Mann Memorial United Methodist Church, 2705 Milledgeville Road, Augusta, GA, with Reverend Fredrick Treaster and Reverend Brandon Fulmer officiating. Interment services will be held, at 3:00 pm Monday afternoon, in the Braswell Cemetery, in Adrian, GA.
Mr. Brown was a native of Greenwood, SC. Bobby was a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, majoring in Radiology and was employed at the Savannah River Site, as an Industrial Radiographer, for 22 years. He was the Owner and Operator of B & D Home Repair Service, serving the CSRA for more than 10 years. He was a member of the U. S. Army Reserve, for 12 years, during the Viet Nam Era and the National Guard.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his father, William Tinsley Brown.
Survivors, other than his wife, include his mother, Evelyn Bosler Brown of Greenwood, SC, daughters, Robin Brown Irvin and husband Paul of Evans, GA, Daneka Williams Stringfield of Oxford, GA, brothers, Nick Brown of Greenwood, SC, Kenny Brown and wife Barb of Johnston, SC, sisters, Beth Treaster and husband Fred of Honea Path, SC, Frankie L. Brown of Greenwood, SC and six grandchildren, Jacey, Andrew, John, Gunnar, Sam and Matthew.
The family will receive friends, this evening Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Platt’s Belair Road.
Pallbearers will be Fritz Good, Larry Baughman, Jimmy Deer, Mike Byrd, Nicky Alfonso and Vince Alfonso.
