Manchester– Mary J. Bieniek, 95, died November 26, 2009 at Hanover Hill Healthcare Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester on September 12, 1914 the daughter of Feliks and Katarzyna (Zabawa) Adamik. She had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Prior to her retirement she had worked as an assembler for Sanders Associates.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Cathedral, the Holy Trinity Cathedral Seniors, Adoracji and Maria Konopnickiej.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph C. Bieniek Sr. on November 27, 1995.
Family members include one son Joseph C. Bieniek Jr. of Manchester, one daughter Dr. Judith B. Allen of Hampden ME., one brother Joseph Adamik of New Smyrna Beach FL., several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In Her Life: She loved spending time with her 5 grandchildren, Cheryl Ingalls of Amesbury MA., Nancy Mitchell of E. Windsor CT., Linda Long of Manchester, Christopher Allen of Lancaster England, Sara Allen of Manchester, 6 great grandchildren, Angus Oglesby, Nicole Long, Alexandra Long, Michael Mitchell, Ewan Allen, Shea Allen, and 4 great great grandchildren, Whitney Brown, Kylee Oglesby, Keysha Oglesby, and Ryli Oglesby. She was predeceased by a great grandson Brandon Bieniek in 1985.
Services: Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A funeral mass will be on Tuesday at 11 am in Holy Trinity Cathedral, 166 Pearl St.
Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
