WORCESTER-John S. Haire, 82, of Worcester, died Tuesday, November 24th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Phyllis M. (Cybulski) Haire; four daughters, Donna P. McLaughlin and her husband Raymond of Worcester, Christine A. Graboyes and her husband Ronald of Sunland, CA, Nancy M. Gauvin and her husband Richard and Carolyn P. Eldridge and her husband David, all of Worcester; a brother, William Mortell of Paxton; six grandchildren, Raymond, Amanda, Stephen “Jack”, Rochelle, John and Sarah; a great grandson, Sean; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Roy L. Haire, Jr., and a sister, Edna Carraher.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Roy L. Haire, Sr. and Alice (Smith ) Haire. His step-mother was the late Mary Haire. Mr. haire was a machinist for Foster Associates, Holden, for many years and later owned and operated P.H. Machine, Inc., retiring in 1984. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
