Mark S. Giguere, 52, of Little Compton passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 after a long illness. Born in Fall River, son of the late George J. Giguere Sr. and the late Annie (Marion) Giguere, he was a lifelong Little Compton resident. A graduate of Portsmouth High School, he was employed by the Town of Little Compton for the past 21 years. Mr. Giguere was a kind and gentle soul that many of us were fortunate enough to see. He had a deep compassion for all living things especially animals and children. All dogs who heard his voice…knew that he had a treat for them.
Surviving is his longtime companion Frances Matta and her children, Jennifer and Michael and their beloved dog, Hailey. He is also survived by his 4 brothers: George of Little Compton, Gerald of N. Kingston, David of Westport and Richard of FL; 4 sisters: Eleanor of Tiverton, Joan of New Bedford, Linda of Ipswich and Sandra of Little Compton; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday from 5 – 7 P.M.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
