TEWKSBURY: Joseph E. Maccini, age 43, a Lowell resident for the past 10 years, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Lowell General Hospital.
Born in Woburn on October 28, 1966, he was the son of John J. and Marsha (Madore) Maccini, who survive him, of Tewksbury.
Joe was raised in Tewksbury and attended Tewksbury schools.
He was employed for 9 years as a machine operator by the Polaroid Company in Waltham.
Joe resided in Tewksbury and Billerica for many years until moving to Lowell in 1999.
He enjoyed many activities including collecting antique coins and currency, collecting crackle glass, reading, playing cribbage and watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Joe was a dedicated and doting father, grandfather and uncle and cherished the many times he spent with his son, daughters, grandson, niece and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his children, Erica L. Maccini, Andrea L. Maccini and Joseph E. Maccini, Jr. all of Billerica; one grandson, Aiden P. Maccini of Billerica; two brothers, John J. Maccini, Jr. of Laconia, NH and Michael L. Maccini of Tewksbury; one sister, Michelle A. Itri and her husband Christopher of Lowell; one niece, Madison A. Itri; two nephews, Brian C. Maccini and Logan C. Itri;; his maternal grandparents; Clay and Dorothy Stevenson of Allston; his former wife, Patrice Mason of Billerica; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Joe was also the paternal grandson of the late Alexander and Lena Maccini, formerly of North Cambridge.
Calling hours Monday, Nov. 30th, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Tuesday, Dec. 1st, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
