Hanson – David D. Davis 74 died Tuesday November 24 in his Hanson home surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Phillips) Davis.
Born in Canada he was the son of the late Charles K. and Catherine (Dadd) Davis.
He was an appliance technician based out of the Weymouth area for RCA, and was a proud member of the IBEW.
Dave enjoyed home improvement projects, hockey and old movies, but his greatest joy came from time spent at family gatherings and volleyball games at the summer picnics.
In addition to his wife Patricia he is survived by his sons David D. Davis, Jr. and his wife Diane of Chelmsford, James R. Davis and his wife Dawn of Hanson, Michael R. Davis and his companion Sue Irving of Halifax; his grandchildren Colin Davis, Becki Harrington-Davis and her husband Paul, Heather Davis, Jon Davis, Justin Davis, Josh Wade, Tyler Wade and his great granddaughter Mackenzie Rose Vandini; his brothers Kenny Davis and Tommy Davis both of Plymouth; his sisters Mary Frye of Taunton and Marty Jones of Quincy. He was the brother of the late Ruthie Davis, Betty Keisel, Margie Solomon, James J. and Frankie Davis.
His memorial service will be held Saturday November 28 at 5:30 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 2 – 5:30 PM.
