Vera M. Gould

long time resident of Tewksbury, age 89

CHELMSFORD-Vera M. (MacLean) Gould died early morning Sept. 6, after a lengthy illness at Saints Memorial Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Herbert R.S. Gould.

She was born in Chelmsford on July 16, 1914 the daughter of William H. and Lucy (Googins) MacLean, and graduated Chelmsford High School. She lived in Tewksbury from 1949 to 1996 when she moved back to Chelmsford to live with her children.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a guage maker for B.L.H. Electronics in Waltham. She was a member of B.L.H. Bowling League.

She was a member of the Tewksbury Congregational Church.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and staying active in the Chelmsford senior center.

She is survived by two sons; Herbert W. "Bill" and his wife Joyce (O'Callahan) Gould of Pepperell, Frederick W. and his wife Jean (Wall) Bell of Chelmsford; one daughter Lillian M. Ferry of Derry, NH, formerly of Tewksbury; one sister, Dorothy I. Johnson of Washington (State). Nine grandchildren and twenty greatgrandchildren.

She is also the sister of the late Donald Maclean and Lillian Hannaford.

Her funeral was held Thursday Sept. 11, in the funeral home. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
