Obituary

SPRING HILL, FLA- Armando A. “Red” Ciampa, 83, husband of Lucy F. (Potenza) Ciampa, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of Hamilton, died Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at his residence.

Born in Avellino, Italy, he was the son of the late Antonio and Rosaria (Annese) Ciampa.

Mr. Ciampa lived in Hamilton, MA for 24 years prior to moving to Florida in 1982.

A self employed carpenter contractor, he owned and operated Acme Plastics in Everett for many years prior to his retirement in 1982.

He was a member of the Massachusetts Club in Florida, and enjoyed bowling, horseshoes and bocci.

Besides his wife, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage, he is survived by one son, Richard Ciampa of Salem, one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Frank Shibilia of Salem, two grandchildren, Mark Shibilia of Salem, Debra and her husband Michael Krol of Sandown, New Hampshire, three great grandchildren, Nicholas and Kaitlyn Krol of Sandown, NH, Gina Shibilia of Gardner and several nieces and nephews. He predeceased by two brothers, Michael Ciampa and Joseph Ciampa, and three sisters, Rose Fiore, Mary Mattarazzo and Lena Kingston.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 13, 2003 at 10 am at St Thomas The Apostle Church, North St., Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
