Costantino, Rose Margaret, (Caruso), of Winthrop, MA. November 21, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Mathew P. Costantino and loving daughter of the late Natale and Caterina (Arcana) Caruso, and Carmelo Caruso, all now with the Lord. Devoted mother of her five children and spouses, Frank and Linda Costantino of Winthrop, Ned & Jeannie Costantino of Hanson, Robert and Sophia Costantino of Abington, William and Ellen Costantino of Grand Rapids, Michigan and the favorite daughter of all time, Catherine Jean Costantino. Rose was the loving “Nonnie” of seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Rose is also survived by her dear brother Ignazio Caruso of Malden, by many cherished nieces and nephews, and countless friends and admirers.
“Rosie” brought life, joy, and happiness to all. She was a member of the USO, entertaining the troops during World War II. Rose worked as a legal secretary for forty years. She especially loved to dance and to cook. Her “meat-a-balls” were unparalleled. Rosie’s passion was her family, to whom she offered her life with infinite love, tenderness, and devotion. Rose, the matriarch, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend will be dearly missed and so lovingly remembered. Funeral arrangements are from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St, WINTHROP, MA. on Tuesday November 24 at 10am. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at the Holy Rosary Church, 993 Shirley Street, Winthrop, MA at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass. Services will conclude with interment at Winthrop Cemetery. Visiting hours will be conducted at the Kirby Funeral Home on Mon, Nov 23, from 2-8pm. Flowers are welcome.
