Obituary

Charles B. Cole Jr., 82 of East Walpole died peacefully November 18 in Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was the devoted husband of the late Geraine "Chickie" (Kirk) Cole for 52 years until her death in 2006.
Born in Walpole, December 6, 1927, the son of the late Charles B. and Gladys E. (Putnam) Cole, Mr. Cole was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Mr. Cole had been an electrician for the New England Telephone Company for over 35 years before his retirement.
He loved woodworking, trains, antique cars, jazz music, reading and spending time with his family.
Mr. Cole served in the Army during the Korean War era in Germany.
He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Cuoco and her husband Christopher of Wrentham and his son Gilman Cole and his wife Kathleen of Hollis, Maine.
He was the brother of the late Barbara Fitzpatrick, Elizabeth Granold, Putnam Cole, Nancy Osgood, Ruth Jackson and Priscilla Clayton.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brenton and Averi Cole and Ericka and Alicia Cuoco.
He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, grandnieces and cousins and friends.
He will be deeply missed.
His visiting hours will be on Monday, November 23 in the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main St. in Walpole from 5-8 p.m.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Caritas Home Care, 3 Edgewater Drive, Norwood, MA 02062 or the Alzheimer’s’ Foundation, 331 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. The family wishes to thank the friends and community who assisted Charles in his care during his later stages of life.
