Mariette A. Giguere 84, of Gaskill St. died Thursday at the Philip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of the late Roger D. Giguere. Mrs. Giguere was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Aime and Donalda (Robillard) Perreault. She and her husband owned and operated Giguere and Marchand Oil Services Inc. where she worked for over forty years retiring in 1990.
Mrs. Giguere is survived by four daughters Louise LeBlanc and her husband Arthur "Pete", and Jeannine Giguere-Gagnon and her husband James, all of Woonsocket, Diane Martin and her husband Wayne of N. Smithfield, and Janice Godaire and her husband Randy of Chaplin, CT, two brothers Jean-Paul Perreault, and Gilles Perreault, seven sisters, Jeanne D'Arc Levesque, Yvette Guillemette, Gisele Chapdelaine, Sr. Fernande Perreault PM, Cecile Martin, Huguette Dion, and Suzanne Trudeau, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Robert and Marie Perreault.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, 323 Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Sunday 3-7 PM.
