Robert Edward Cooper, 79, of Leominster died peacefully in Golden Living Center on November 17, 2009 after a long battle with Emphysema.
He was born May 1, 1930 to George and Hazel (Snow) Cooper. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary (Hallock) Cooper of Leominster, his daughter Christy Aronson and her husband David and their children Katie and Matthew of Leominster, his son Jayson and wife Jennifer and their children Megan, Caitlyn, Zachary, and Benjamin of Templeton, his brother Kenneth Cooper and wife Lynette of Norfolk, a sister Ruth O’Callahan and husband Dan of Norwood, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Deacon Jim and Ruth Anne Couture of Fitchburg. He also leaves behind his precious kitty, Baby Belle. Many nieces and nephews in New England.
He worked for many years in the Boston area as a Health Care Professional. He was an old time movie buff. He was known by his family and friends for his fabulous pies. He enjoyed cooking family recipes he learned from his Nana. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed.
A service will be held graveside at the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Mason, New Hampshire, Sunday November 29, at 2:00 P.M.. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The MSPCA - Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564.
At this time Robert’s family would like to thank all of the amazing staff at the Golden Living Center for seeing him as a person not just a patient. A special thank you to the angels of Hospice without them things may not have been as peaceful.
