Obituary


MANCHESTER-Paul J. Boucher, 87 of Manchester died November 18, 2009 at his home following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on October 31, 1922 the son of Wilfrid and Regina (Boudreau) Boucher and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII and held membership in the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post, and Intervale Country Club.
Prior to his retirement he had been a restaurateur and also owned and operated Jean’s Variety.
He was predeceased by his wife Louise (Phaneuf) Boucher on January 11, 1961, and a son Thomas Boucher on March 25, 2001.
In His Life: Members of his family include one son Richard Boucher and his wife Jacqueline of Manchester, two daughters Elise Roy and her husband Jean of Manchester and Lisa Boucher of Manchester, eight grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, two brothers Roland Boucher and Wilfrid Boucher Jr. both of Manchester, one sister Jean d”Arc Martin of Devon, PA and several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A memorial reception will be Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. A prayer service will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Community Services, 151 Douglas St., Manchester, NH 03102.
