Obituary

Edward H. Diem, 63, of Sandown died Friday September 5, 2003 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Diem was born in Patterson, NJ on October 16, 1939 the son of the late Henry and Florence (Spooner) Diem. He had moved to Sandown in February having lived in Windham for 25 years. He was a graduate of Fitch South High School, Groton, Ct. Class of 1957. He served in the US Air Force from 1958 - 1963. After deciding to continue his education, he received his Bachelors degree from UNH in Manchester in 1998. He was employed for the last 10 years for Massachusetts Materials Research in W. Boylston, MA. He was previously employed by Stone and Webster Engineering Corp in Boston, MA. He was very active in the Fellowship Bible Church in Chester. He had a great love for his wife, children, grandchildren and especially his Lord. He also enjoyed painting, golf, fishing and hiking.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Victoria A. (Rossi) Diem of Sandown, two daughters, Maria Hatch and her husband Kevin of Chester, Christine Moushegian and her husband Barry of Kingston, one son, Steven Diem of Sandown and his fiancé’ Rebekah Crabb of Chester, six grandchildren, three sisters, Arlene Jackson of East Kingston, R.I., Bonnie Mandes and Gail Bowen both of Texas, his twin brother, Howard Diem of Stonington, Ct., several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, David E. Diem in 1982 and also by his brother, Michael Ferris.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday September 10th in the Fellowship Bible Church, Chester. Burial will follow in Cemetery on the Plain, Windham. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Bible Church, P.O. Box 339, Chester, NH 03036.
