Lillian Everlee Smithey, 86, Clarksville, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rye's Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Louie Montoya officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born May 16, 1923 in Kentucky, daughter of the late Joseph Jones and Kate Seay Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nute Smithey; and four sisters, Cornelia Collins, Aileen Davidson, Katherine Jerles, and Hellon Davidson. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. Survivors include three daughters, Mary McDaniel (Kennith), Ann Smithey; and Betty Coghill (Michael) all of Clarksville; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Blade McDaniel, Vinnie York, Cory Herriges, Domingo Santana, Mike Reed, and Arlon Herndon.
