Lee J. Bush passed away suddenly 16 November 2009 at home. He was 76 years old. Born in Laurel, Mississippi, he was a graduate of Calhoun High School. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War. He served 23 years and retired. He attended Trident Technical College and Baptist College. He was a “Dean’s List” student and received a dual degree in Accounting and Business Management. He worked for Maxwell Home Furnishing and later, he worked for Lockheed at Charleston AFB, Depot Maintenance for the C-141 Aircraft, until Lockheed transferred back to Georgia. He then moved from this area to work for Anniston Army Depot, directorate of Maintenance with the MI Abrams Tank in Alabama. He worked “Fast Turn Around Maintenance” during Desert Storm and “Desert Shield” conflicts. He retired from Anniston Army Depot in 1998 and received a government service pin for 35 years of service. He was a Southern Baptist.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, November 20, 2009 at 2:00 at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Friends may visit at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville on Thursday evening from 6 until 8.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, a daughter, a son, son-in-law and daughter-in-law, his brother Ray and his wife, a niece, granddaughter, grandson, step-grandson, step granddaughter, step grandson and a step great grandson and a step great granddaughter.
