Phouthone Savatphong, 37, of Grove St., Woonsocket, died Saturday at home.
Born in Laos, he was a son of Phouguen Savatphong of Woonsocket. Phouthone came to the United States with his family in 1991 and settled in Woonsocket. He worked as a machine operator at Comm Tran Crop. in Whitinsville.
Phouthone was an avid fisherman and enjoyed time spent by the water. He was a devoted son and father to his children.
In addition to his mother, his survived by a son, Jelly and two daughters, Jennifer and Anastasia. He was the brother of Vilayphath, Seang, Saysomkhan, and Chitchanthone Savapthong. He is also survived by his extended family throughout the United States and Laos.
His funeral services will be Saturday at 8:00 am in the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Following services the procession will depart for Swan Point Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 4-8 pm.
