Obituary

Webster, Edmund W. "Putt" Grochowski, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital.

He is survived by his loving companion and best friend, Jane Jewell with whom he lived.

"Putt" was born in Webster son of the late Francis and Victoria (Kuszewski)Grochowski.

He leaves several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his extended family, Nancy, Scott, Lori, Chad, Kathi, Jeff, Robin, Bruce and Mike. His beloved "kids" who will sorely miss their "POP", Sam, Molly, Kyle, Bobbie, Mason, Ben, Michael, Casey and his beloved dog "Jade".

"Putt" was predeceased by three brothers, Bernard, Edward and Frank and one sister, Emily.

Edmund served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Arkansas and participaed in the battles of Normandy, Iwo Jima and Okinowa and many others. He also served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.

He worked at the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority as a toll collector for many years, and retired in 1990.

"Putt" was a member of Local 127 and a member of the P.A.V.

The FUNERAL will be SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2009 with a MASS At 10AM in ST. LOUIS CHURCH, 16 LAKE ST. BURIAL with Military Honors provided by the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will be in

St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery.

There will be a calling hour on SATURDAY prior to the Mass,from 8:45 to 9:45AM in The Robert J.Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel,366 School St.
