Ronald A. Dawson, 77, Clarksville, died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the hour of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. The remains are to be cremated. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 11, 1932 in Ruby, Mississippi, son of the late Hoy Dawson and Laura Verlander Dawson. He was preceded in death by wives, Sylvia Dawson and Joyce Dawson; and a brother, Warren Dawson. He was a retired electrical engineer with Hughes Aircraft and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Survivors include daughter, Kelly Dawson, Thousand Oaks, CA; sister, Lelia Miller, Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Lauren and Austin Westerback, William and Christopher Cameron, Matthew and David Hicks and Sydney Hicks and step-children, Raymond Hicks, Saralinda Cameron-Ragozza, and Joey Hicks.
