Rev. Philip Gregory McConville, of Dennis, former Pastor Our Lady of Assumption Church, Green Harbor, died Nov. l3 at the age of 92. Born in Portland, Maine, son of the late John P. McConville and Louise (Hanson) McConville. Dear brother of Sr. Alice McConville, religious cenacle, Staten Island, N.Y., Frances McConville, Staten Island, N.Y. and the late Marie McCormack. Also survived by 2 nieces Ann Parisi, of Fitchburg and Susan Henrickson of Moline, IL. A grandniece and a grandnephew. Father McConville graduated from Boston College and was ordained in l943 from St. John’s Seminary in Brighton. He celebrated 65 years of his Ordination in November 2008. Father McConville served in the US Army as a Colonel during The Korean War.
He will Lie-in-State at Our Lady of The Assumption Church on Monday, Nov. l6, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at ll a.m. at Our Lady of The Assumption Church.
Reception will follow in the church hall.
Private family interment service will be on Wednesday at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Dennis.
