Obituary

FALL RIVER … William Sullivan, 79, of Fall River died at home, Wednesday, November 11, 2009.
He was the husband of Yvette (Berube) Sullivan of Fall River.
He was born in Fall River a son of the late William and Alice (Bouchard) Sullivan and had lived in Fall River most of his life.
He was a heavy equipment operator with the city of Fall River Parks and Cemetery Department. He also worked as a Security Guard at the Battleship in Fall River, U.S. Oil of Fall River, and Baker Construction in Framingham.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict as a Corporal in the United States Army.
He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church, Satfford Road, Fall River.
Mr. Sullivan was a member of the Amvets Post #60, the American Legion Post #314, and the Republican Club all of Fall River.
Survivors include his widow, 3 daughters: Patricia A. Sakell, Sheila T. Carlton, and Paula M. Sullivan, a daughter-in-law Kathleen Sullivan all of Fall River, a brother Thomas Sullivan of CT, 2 sisters: Theresa Paul of Swansea, and Carol Anne Sullivan of Fall River, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late William B. Sullivan and Michael S. Sullivan, and father-in-law of the late Marie Sullivan, and brother of the late Harold Sullivan.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 9AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Road, Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Sunday 5 – 8 PM
