Mrs. Geraldine M. (Gately) Renaud, of Taunton, died Thursday, November 12 in Longmeadow of Taunton following a period of failing health. She was the wife of Joseph Renaud. She was born 91 years ago in Brockton, the daughter of the late James J. and Clotilda F. (Canavan) Gately. She was educated in Brockton, having graduated from Brockton High School and Brockton Business School, and had been a Taunton resident for the past 70 years Mrs. Renaud had formerly been employed by the Al Paquin Accounting firm in Brockton for a number of years. She was a member of the North Taunton Senior Citizens Club and the former Immaculate Conception Church Womens Guild. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in
Taunton.
In addition to her husband, she leaves:
1 son: Joseph F. Renaud and his wife, Elaine, of Taunton
2 brothers: Fallon Gately and his wife, Fonya, of Middleboro
Sheldon Gately and his wife, Eleanor, of Brockton
2 granddaughters: Cynthia Beauchesne and her husband, Dana, of New Hampshire
Tricia Magri and her husband, John, of Maine
5 great grandchildren: Zoie, Jet and Colt Magri and Sophie and Olivia Beauchesne
several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday, November 16 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
