Joseph J. Dyndur 69, died Tuesday at home. He was the husband of the late Gloria (Henault) Dyndur. He was born in Blackstone, a son of Edna (Anton) Dyndur and the late Matthew Dyndur, and was a Woonsocket resident most of his life. Mr. Dyndur was a foreman for General Motors for over thirty years retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Cercle Laurier, I.W.C., the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks, and was an avid bowler and golfer. Besides his mother , he is survived by a son, James Dyndur of Ashburn, VA, four brothers; Walter of Port Ritchie, FL, Vincent of Providence, Peter of Woonsocket and Martin of Harrisville, three sisters; Pauline Ryan, Marcella Degre, and Carolyn Smith all of Woonsocket, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Joseph Dyndur Jr. and was the brother of the late Paul and Stanley Dyndur.
Visiting hours will be Monday evening 4-7 PM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. A committal service will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM in the chapel of St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery Bellingham.
