Virginia (Cordischi) Bellucci, a 60 year resident of Wakefield, died on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at McClean Hospital in Belmont following a long illness with Alzheimer's Disease. She was 89 years old.
Virginia was born in Boston on February 6, 1920. She grew up in East Boston and attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from East Boston High School. Virginia worked for over 20 years at Transitron in Wakefield as a Quality Control Supervisor. She enjoyed walking Lake Quannapowitt, loved to garden, square dance, bowl and found much enjoyment in listening to Frank Sinatra music.
Virginia is the beloved wife of the late Joseph Bellucci. She is the devoted mother of Joseph Bellucci Jr. and his wife Linda of Princeton, Mary Jane Sullivan and her husband Dan of South Carver and Kenneth Bellucci and his wife Louise of North Reading. She is the loving Noni to Jeffrey and Brian Bellucci, Kimberly and Daniel Sullivan, Jenna and Michelle Bellucci and her 2 great-grandsons; Jason and Matthew.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Virginia's Funeral on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, Wakefield/Melrose line, followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be on Friday, November 13, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
