Joseph Paglierani, 89 years of Brockton, died November 9, 2009 following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband for 65 years of Irene S. (Woronicz) Paglierani. Born and raised in Cambridge, a son of the late Natale and Maria (Spadazzi) Paglierani, he had been a resident of Brockton for the past 56 years. He was a proud Army veteran of WWII. Joe was a past State Commander of the Italian American War Veterans, past Commander of the Brockton Veterans Council, a member of the VFW Post 697 in Whitman, a member of the Brockton Sons of Italy, and was a longtime volunteer for the VA Boston Healthcare System. Joe was a longtime local business owner and real estate broker who enjoyed his home and family.
He is also survived by a son Ronald J. Paglierani and his wife Patricia and two daughters Jean Paglierani and her companion Jim Romp and Lori Fopiano and her husband Rick; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dino and Alma Paglierani.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish at 9am. Burial in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8pm.
