John C. “Chubba” MacInnes, 56 of Medford, died Tuesday after a brief illness.
Born in Somerville, he lived in Medford for the past 37 years. John was employed at M.I.T. as a Custodian for the past 5 years and formerly worked as a Custodian for the City of Somerville for 17 years.
Beloved husband of Diane (DeFreitas) MacInnes. Devoted father of Tracy Kennedy of Lawrence, John M. MacInnes of Westwood, and Jennifer Assetta of Medford. Loving grandfather “Buddy” of Courtney, Kaitlyn, Anthony, Jacob and Ryan. Cherished son of Gloria (Accaputo) MacInnes of Somerville and the late John A. MacInnes. Brother of Mark MacInnes of Somerville.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
