Charlotte L. (Goodwin) Conefrey 68 years old, of Taunton died Wednesday November 4, 2009 at the N.E. Sinai Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of 33 years to Patrick C. Conefrey.
Charlotte was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Helen (Snooks) and Arthur Goodwin, Sr. and was raised in Whitman and graduated from Whitman-Hanson High School. For the past 33 years she had resided in Taunton and had been the president of the Oak Hill Mobile Home Association for 10 years. She retired as a nurses aide with Old Colony Hospice and previously worked at the Brockton Hospital for 17 years as a nurses aide.
Charlotte loved to scrap book and create cards. She enjoyed playing card games, listening to Elvis and loved her dog Toby and cat Tigger. She enjoyed Boston sports and watching golf on TV. Charlotte was a born again Christian and attended the Winthrop Street Baptist Church in Taunton for 33 years. Charlotte touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a stepdaughter Kimberly (Conefrey) Hackett and her husband Michael of Asbury, Iowa. She leaves her two twin granddaughters Alyssa and McKenzie Hackett. She was the sister of Donna (Goodwin) Higgins and her husband Frank of West Bridgewater and the late Arthur Goodwin, Jr. Charlotte leaves an aunt, 5 nieces, 1 nephew, 4 great nieces, 2 great nephews and many cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 14, at 11am in the Winthrop Street Baptist Church, 39 Winthrop St.,Taunton. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Visiting hours are omitted. Donations in Charlotte’s name may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701-4680.
