Jeanne (Monohon) Mucciarone 84 of Dedham, and a former longtime Franklin resident, died Friday Nov. 6, 2009 at Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain. She was the wife of the late Albert D. Mucciarone, who died in 1991.
Born in Boston, Aug. 11, 1925 a daughter of the late Eugene E. and Hazel E. (Heckman) Monohon, she lived in Franklin for most of her life until moving to Dedham in 2001.
She was a 1943 graduate of Cambridge & Latin High School, and a 1946 graduate of the Boston City Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Boston City Hospital, until becoming an 18 year employee at the former Benjamin Franklin Savings Bank in Franklin.
She enjoyed playing golf & bridge, and was a championship bowler.
She is survived by a stepson: George A. Mucciarone of Georgia, 1 granddaughter, 2 great grandchildren, 3 nephews, and 1 niece. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Cochran.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday at 9:45 AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10M. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
