Raymond Leite, age 83, a Somerset resident for 53 years passed away November 8, 2009. Loving husband of Theresa (Raymond) Leite and son of the late Antonio B. and Rosalina (De Jesus) Leite. Born in Fall River, Raymond was a member of St. John of God Church and was a retired Carpenter for the Carpenter’s Union of MA & R.I. Local #94. He was also a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Somerset V.F.W. He enjoyed gardening, music, dancing and spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his loving wife, he was the devoted father of Anthony Leite of Newport, Susan D. Leite of Somerset, Marianne L. Katzanek of Barrington and the late David Leite. He also leaves a sister, Mary Genereux of Somerset; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Thursday at 8 A.M followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 4-8 P.M.
