OCALA, FL-Warren F. Bakstran, 85, of Ocala formerly of Worcester died Saturday, November 7th in Ocala Medical Center. He leaves his wife of 66 years, Sarah R. (Stark) Bakstran; a daughter, Donna S. Martin and her husband, William P. of Ocala, FL; two brothers, Ronald D. Bakstran and Kenneth H. Bakstran of Worcester; two grandchildren, Timothy W. P. Martin of North Brookfield and Keith E. Martin of Barre; five great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Beverly A. Burke.
He was born in Worcester, son of Fulton L. and Evelyn A. (Warren) Bakstran. Warren was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving during WWII. He was hoping to be the last survivor of Iwo Jima.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 13th at 1:00 P.M. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, MA is directing arrangements.
