Obituary

SPENCER: Mary T. (Dacey) Billings,83 formerly of 6 Fairview Dr., died Monday, Nov. 9 at The Meadows of Leicester after a brief illness.

She was the wife of Norman C. Billings who died in 2005. She leaves three sons William S. Billings and his wife Nancy of No.Brookfield, Kevin J. Billings and his wife Suzanne of Worcester and Robert M. Billings and his wife Jennifer of Oxford, a daughter Donna M. Rudik and her husband Mark of Spencer, a brother Timothy Dacey, Jr. of Spencer, a sister Joan Pace of Boylston, seven grandchildren Michael Billings, Juliemae Grace, Jamie Billings, Katelyn Bullock, Joshua, Hillary & Patrick Rudik, four great grandchildren Zachary & Nicholas Billings, Amanda & R.J. Grace, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a sister Patricia Hersom.

Mary was a line foreman at Millbrook Distributors in Leicester for 10 years, before retiring in 1993. She previously worked many years as a clerk at the former Fair Dept. Store in Spencer and also once worked at The Castle Restaurant in Leicester.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Timothy and Beatrice (O’Hallaron) Dacey. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council 118 Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, Sunday dinners, playing bingo and watching New England Sports.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Calling hours are Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 4 to 7p.m. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Meadows of Leicester, Patient Activity Fund, 111 Huntoon Memorial Hwy., Rochdale, Ma. 01542.
