WORCESTER - Ethel D. (Holbrook) Gomez, 78, of 1 Clapp St. Court died Tuesday, September 2 in the Hospice House after an illness.
She leaves her husband of more than 50 years, Leslie R. "Chico" Gomez; five sons William D. Davis, John Davis, Thomas Davis and Daniel Gomes all of Worcester and Anthony Gomez of Peabody; two daughters Judy Breire and Cindy Richards both of Worcester; 16 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester daughter of Frank and Iva (Shea) Holbrook.
She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for many years at the Jewish Home before retiring.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 5 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street with a mass at 10 AM in St. Charles of Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, September 4 from 6 to 8 pm in the funeral home.
