Obituary

SALEM - Priscilla M. Reed, 59, of Salem, died Wednesday evening, November 4, 2009 at the Essex Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Beverly, following a long illness.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Ida Mae Reed and was a lifelong resident of the city

Priscilla was employed for many years as a nurse’s aide at facilities around the North Shore, including the John Bertram Home and the Brookhouse Home for Women, both in Salem.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, where she served on various boards and committees and sang in the choir. She had a great love for animals, especially cats.

Priscilla is survived by two sisters, Julie M. McNaught of Salem, Meredith M. Mandeville of Londonderry, NH, two brothers, Barrie E. Grant of Westminster, CA, Robert E. Grant of Peabody and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem from 2 to 4 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 4 pm.
