SARDIN - William R. "Bill" Sardin, 76, passed away passed away at an assisted living facility in Jacksonville, FL on Wednesday afternoon, November 4, 2009. He was a native of Wetumpka, AL and moved to Yulee in 1985 from Pensacola, FL. Mr. Sardin enjoyed watching college football on television, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide. He also enjoyed listening to gospel music and fishing. He is survived by his wife Betty Sardin of Yulee, FL; a son, Richard Sardin (Donna) of St. Augustine, FL; two step daughters, Glenda Ride (Bobby) of Cross City, FL and Barbara Johnston of Pensacola, FL; a brother and sister in law, George and Eve Sardin of Columbus, GA; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. Sunday until the time of service. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery in Wetumpka, AL. Arrangements by Green Pine Funeral Home, Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach, Yulee.
