Rene R. Champagne 77, of 300 Privilege St., died Wednesday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Priscilla (Lambert) Champagne. He was born in Glendale a son of the late Roland and Loretta (Ledoux) Champagne. Mr. Champagne worked as a painter for Ted Laramee for twenty years he also worked as a custodian for Landmark Medical Center for twenty two years before retiring in 1993.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Claudette Plante and her husband Bruce of Mapleville, and Janet Gagne and her husband Geary of Woonsocket, four grandchildren Michelle and Gary Gagne, Sherri Murphy and Tammy Cote, and eight great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church , Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Bapitiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
