Mrs. Ione G. Rosatone, age 66, of Somerville passed away November 4th, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Fernando Rosatone and together they shared forty-five years of marriage.
Mrs. Rosatone was born in Prezza, Italy and was the daughter of the late Beltrami and Evelina (Mancini) DeBenedictis. Mrs. Rosatone came to the United States more than forty years ago and has lived in Somerville ever since. Mostly devoted to her loving family she enjoyed cooking for family and friends and also enjoyed knitting in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rosatone is predeceased by her daughter, the late Linda Rosatone. She is survived by her husband Fernando and their devoted children, Frank Rosatone and his wife Sandra of Malden, Linda Chapman and her husband David of Norwell, Evelina Glynn and her husband Jim of Melrose, Luigi Rosatone and his wife Eleanor of Woburn, Anthony Rosatone of Everett. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Amanda and Sarah Rosatone, Abigail Chapman, Jason and Jessica Glynn, George and Charlotte Rosatone. She is further survived by her brother, Peppino DeBenedictis of Medford, and sister, Livia DeBenedictis of Italy.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosatone will held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St. Somerville, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
