Irene Brouillard 82, of Beech St. died peacefully on Tuesday at the home of her daughter surrounded by her family. She was born in Coburg, Germany a daughter of the late Andreas and Hildegard (Breisofsky) Vogt. Mrs. Brouillard was a weaver for the former French Worsted Co. and New England Pile Fabrics for many years before retiring. She also worked for Blackstone Caterers and Firehouse Pizza. She was a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Family for many years and a member of their Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the YMCA Swim Club.
Mrs. Brouillard is survived by her son Robert Brouillard Jr., and daughter Ellen Jordan, both of Woonsocket, a grandaughter Amanda Morrissette, grandson AJ Morrissette and great granddaughter Olivia Morrissette all of Woonsocket. She is also survived by two sisters Uschi Down, and Hortence Gernet, a brother Eberhart Vogt and several nieces and nephews all of Germany.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday 3-7 PM.
