Lawson of North Easton August 30, 2003 Mary E. (Perkins) Lawson 75 years. Wife of the late Martin W. “Bill” Lawson. Beloved mother of Mary E. “Lisa” Burke and her husband John of So. Easton, Martin W. Lawson, Jr. of Wareham and Linda A. Proctor and her husband Douglas of Marshfield. Loving grandmother of Erik Burke and Joseph and Anna Proctor.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church N. Easton at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm.

Mary E. Lawson age 75Mayflower Descendant, Registered NurseMary E. {Perkins) Lawson wife of the late Martin W. “Bill” Lawson died on Saturday August 30, 2003. Born and raised in East Bridgewater, daughter of the late Louis Perkins and Mary (Devine) Perkins, she moved to North Easton in 1961. She was a 1945 graduate of East Bridgewater High School and a 1948 graduate of the Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Massachusetts University, and a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from Bridgewater State College.

Mrs. Lawson was employed as a registered nurse for over 37 years at Faulkner Hospital, Brockton Hospital, The Easton Nursing Assoc. and Brockton V.A. Medical Center. She retired in 1995.Mrs. Lawson was a member of the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants, and was an eleventh generation descendant of John Alden. She was also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Alumni Assoc. of SMU and Bridgewater State College, MSPCA, Audubon Society Appalachian Mountain Club, and several other environmentalist and animal protection organizations.Mrs. Lawson's activities in the past have included camping, hiking in the White Mountains, bird watching and ballroom dancing. She had traveled extensively with her husband to China, India, Egypt, Africa, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bali, Nepal, Tahiti, and various other countries throughout the South Pacific.

Mrs. Lawson was devoted to her family and enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Martin W. Lawson, Jr. of Wareham and two daughters, Mary E. “Lisa” Burke of South Easton and Linda A. Proctor of Marshfield, and three grandchildren Erik Burke and Joseph and Anna Proctor. She wasalso sister of the late Louis Perkins and Howard Perkins.
