WORCESTER___June A. (Morin) Papetti Elliott, 74, of Worcester, passed from her family and friends all too soon on November 3, 2009 in St. Vincent Hospital, after a long hard fought battle with leukemia.
June leaves five children, William D. Papetti and his wife Deana of Cabot, AR, Debra A. Brown of Valrico, FL, Duane A. Papetti and his wife Sheila of Worcester; Dawn M. O'Laughlin and her husband John of Palm Harbor, FL, and Karen L. Papetti of Worcester. A son, Michael A. Papetti died as an infant. June also leaves eight brothers and sisters, Roland C. Morin, Jr, and his wife Frauke of Texas; Loretta C. Keenan and her husband Kevin of Worcester; Francis E. Morin and his wife Patrine of California; Kenneth W. Morin and his wife Karen of Texas, Wifred J. Morin and his wife Gerry of Millbury, Janet Goodwin of Worcester, Gary P. Morin and his wife Diana of Medway; six grandsons, one granddaughter, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. June was born in Holden and was predeceased by her parents, Roland C. and Loretta C. (Beauregard) Morin and her brother, Dwight G. Morin and two ex-husbands, William D. Papetti and Donald Elliott.
June was raised on Grafton Hill and was a member of St. Stephen's Church for many years where her five children attended school. June attended the original Providence St. School, Grafton St. Jr. High School and graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School for Girls where she studied dressmaking. She worked at J.J. Newbury, Cornell Dubilier, Kalil & Aboody, David Clark, Worcester Mold and Plastic, WCiS at Billings Square and retired from Newton Buying Corp and T.J. Maxx Co. in 2005. In the late 1970's and early 1980's June owned and operated a Ceramic business on Millbury St, Worcester with Donald Elliott.
June loved making clothes for her children during their younger years, then making Ceramic decorative holiday pieces while teaching classes at her business, spending time and helping with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling on exotic trips and taking cruises with dear friends, shopping, reading, watching Wheel of Fortune and Chronicle. Many many thanks go out to the Oncology - Hematology Dept and all the nurses and staff of St. Vincent Hospital for the extremely great care she received during this long ordeal.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton Street. Burial will be private in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Friday, November 6, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fallon Clinic Foundation-Oncology Fund, 100 Front St., 14th Floor, Worcester, MA., 01608.
