Mary L. Hogan Livingston, 87, of Irwin County, died Monday, November 2, 2009, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Friday, November 6, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca with Dr. Ray Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-9 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Livingston was born May 21, 1922 in Fitzgerald to the late Thomas and Lunie Bush Passmore. She lived Ben Hill, Irwin, Tift and Crisp counties all of her life. Mrs. Livingston was a farmer’s wife, a former employee of JACO and Cordele Uniform, both in Cordele. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca and was an avid gardener.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Faye & Ray Freeman of Swainsboro and Skippy & Bobby Mulkey of Irwin County; son: Billy and Laverne Livingston of Ben Hill County; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; Sisters-in-law: Frances Hobby of Rebecca, GA, Hilda Cox of Dawsonville, GA, and Louise Passmore of Fitzgerald, as well as, several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, B.T. Hogan and Grady Livingston, two brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be sent to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church or to the church cemetery fund.
